Felling

We specialise in the careful removal of trees in any location. This may range from being able to safely fell and process a tree from the base or employing specialist skills to climb and dismantle a tree in sections utilising modern rigging techniques to carefully and systematically lower a tree within its own space or we may utilise specialist equipment such as cranes to assist with a removal. 

Crown Reductions and Crown Lifting

Trees can often outgrow their position and it may become necessary to reduce the overall height and spread of a trees canopy. This could be to reduce the danger and risk of limbs failing, to enhance a view and allow more light to pass thorough.  Crown lifting concentrates on the lower limbs of the canopy generally for access reasons and to allow more light through. 

Crown Thin

Careful and specific removal of branches including the removal of dead and diseased limbs. Removal of ivy and adjusting the shape and balance of a trees canopy to improve its form. 

Pollarding

We can help maintain or instigate pollards on suitable trees. Not all trees are suitable for this technique but others respond very well and it can be a very useful method or maintaining certain trees. Pollarding is a cyclical management process once started. 

Stump Grinding

We can help you reclaim and reuse ground where a tree once stood by completely grinding out the stump for you leaving the space useable once more. We can import fresh top soil and compost for you should you wish the ground to be prepared for replanting. 

Bracing

Sometimes it is possible to address issues within a tree using modern bracing techniques that are non invasive and provide assistance for poor branch unions without having to remove them. 

We can also provide custom ground braces and supports made to measure in either wood or steel. These may be of particular use to ageing fruit trees and ornamental garden trees. 

Hedges

Well maintained and kept hedges speak volumes about a property. We can assist you with keeping your boundaries and grounds in tip top condition.

Tree Preservation Orders

Trees can be covered with protection orders issued by your local authority, should you require work on a covered tree we can help with advising on what work is appropriate and should you decide to use Arb Aspire we can handle the application process for you.
